@sapphie It is a buffering issue related to the pre-warming feature where the app pre-downloads current & next track for crossing LAN/Cellular barriers or dead spots. This ALAC first track issue should be addressed in build 38 which unfortunately was just after I posted 37 for prod release. I will send you the testflight invite shortly. Thanks

I have sent you an email for the TestFlight invitation and will keep an eye out for that and an App Store update. Today, I have had a bit more success. Essentially, for any given playlist, be it a single album or a playlist generated by the app, the first track never seems to play. However, if I put that track on pause, wait a few seconds and skip to the second track, it will play. If I listen to each track, by the time each one is finished I find that the next track will play as expected.

My issue with the app not playing was if I kept quickly forwarding to the next one, or selecting a track further down in the playlist.

I assume, maybe, it is a buffering issue and that by being patient and listening to the tracks in full, it gives the app enough time to buffer the next track? Does the app try to buffer the complete playlist or just the next track in sequence?

I know there is a new release coming for iOS but I got too curious, so downloaded the latest version from the App Store (build 21).

I can connect to my JRiver server and see all my albums etc but when I try to play something the song displays as running time from 0.00 to -0.00 and just skips to the next track and then I get the same for that. I have managed to get some songs to play and, on a given album, some will play but not others.

JRemote works fine. Are there any settings I can tweak or is this something that will be fixed in the next release?

This is trying at home over w-fi. The files are all ALAC lossless.

There is already an iOS version available. It was the original release and is a little dated. But there is a new iOS update around the corner.

This is post dated cause I forgot update this forum with the original production release that went out a couple months ago. Next release is just a few days around the corner
