[#20]

I've recently purchased the app but find the sound quality lacking, which I believe is because everything appears to be re-recoded into mp3.

Hi Memento.  This bug was fixed for the 1.3 release which is supposed to be published today.  Just waiting for Google's approval.  Keep checking.  I will post the notes in the releases section as soon as it is up there.  Thanks

Downloaded V1.3, but I am still seeing everything transcoded to MP3 when accessing my JRiver server and casting UPnP to my amp.

If I cast local content everything is as expected, so it is accessing the JRiver server that is the problem.

None of my DLNA servers are configured to use MP3 and my Media Network Conversion setting are to "Do Not Convert Audio"

Streaming to device you have the ability to choose orginal format or transcode (Audio Settings).  But all casting is being transcoded to mp3 streams for max device compatibility.  However I just added the ability to do the same (audio settings) for casting streams to devices in the next 1.4 release.

The  change to casting is great news; really looking forward to v1.4!
