Not sure if I'm overlooking something simple. I'm connected to my jriver server and can access my library. Playback is set to be on the phone but trying to play any audio I get no sound and the file does not appear to be playing as the progress bar shows the total track time but is stuck at 0:00.

If I set playback to be on the server that works fine.

Playing internet radio in the app works fine.

JRemote 3 and MO 4Media both work and playback fine on the phone.

Hey... Thanks for letting me know.  I will look into it.  What file type are you streaming?  What JRiver version? Port? SSL?  From Lan or external?

Thanks!

Right now I'm internal LAN, no SSL, port 52199, JRiver 35.0.70.

I setup the server in Whiskey River using my JRiver access key. I now notice that after doing that if I check the server settings in WR it shows my external IP for the address. I believe the access key should return all interface IP's MC server is available on including external and internal. I do not have any port forwarding at the moment to access the server externally so that IP won't work. I would assume the app should test all ip returned by the access key and use whichever works currently.

If I force WR to connect to my MC local IP things work and playback fine. I believe the way apps like JRemote work is it looks up the access key at each startup then tests each ip to find one that works, starting with any local ip's then trying external?

If using the accesskey, it is "supposed" to prioritize internal over external if both are avail, and especially if only internal is avail.  Sounds like there is bad logic or error affecting the logic in determining what it uses.  I will run some tests and get a fix in for the next release for 1.4 in a couple weeks.  Thanks for the heads up and I will reach out if need more info, and update this post with findings.

I see the same behaviour using my LG V60.

If I use the access key and try and play on my phone nothing happens, presumably because it is trying to access my server using the outside IP address instead of the local one.

But if I use the server local IP address it works (sort of)
